Perched on a 116-metre clifftop just 6km from the Atrium Palace, Lindos is a full-day visit. Ride a donkey up to the castle (a highlight for kids!), explore the whitewashed lanes packed with shops and restaurants, and swim at the nearby beach. Some streets have lots of stairs — be prepared. The views from the Acropolis over St. Paul's Bay are among the most breathtaking in all of Greece.
The Atrium Palace sits directly on Kalathos Beach — a long, serene Blue Flag-certified pebble beach on the southeast coast of Rhodes. The water here is exceptionally clear, perfect for snorkeling over rocks and small fish. Far less crowded than the famous Lindos Beach, it's a quiet, upscale stretch with sunbeds, beach bar service, and stunning views toward the Turkish coast on clear days.

A beautiful rocky beach — one of the Dubno family's absolute favorite spots in Rhodes. The water is peaceful and crystal clear, perfect for diving from a very approachable 10-foot rock. Rent pedal catamarans and spend most of the time in the water. Go early and plan to stay all day. Parking can be challenging mid-day, but if you circle patiently you'll always find a spot. Leave strollers in the car and pack light.
An abandoned medieval castle dramatically perched on top of a rocky hill on the west coast of Rhodes — and one of the best sunset spots on the entire island. Plan to spend about two hours exploring. After sunset, head to nearby Taverna Panorama for great food and a small outdoor area where kids can run around freely.
A spectacular natural landmark at the very southern tip of Rhodes where a shifting sandbar separates the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. Known as "The Kiss of the Two Seas" — you can literally stand with one foot in each. Stunning at sunset, with plenty of parking and two nearby restaurants that stay open late.
An open-air archaeological site with Roman ruins, a stadium, and the iconic Temple of Apollo overlooking Rhodes Town. Lots of walking, so wear good shoes. Pro tip from the Dubno family: pull up ChatGPT or a historical guide while walking around — the narration brings the ruins to life in a way signs alone can't match.
A fun early-day stop in a lush forested valley with peacocks, a small lake, and a cool underground water tunnel you walk through (bring a torch, it gets dark!). The adjacent Seven Springs Tavern has a playground, giving kids something to do while you take a quieter break. Best visited in the morning before tour buses arrive.
